Step into a truly out-of-the-ordinary souvenir shop
The unique interior of the 100 sq.m. souvenir shop is well worth a visit.
In the centre is the old farm well, preserved in tact from the 1700s. For some reason, at one stage the 5-metre deep well was enclosed within the stable, which has now been turned into a shop.
There is also a 3200-year old oak in the shop. This “black” oak, as it is known in Sweden, lay submerged 8 feet (2.5 metres) below the surface of a bog before it was discovered during the construction of a new road.
Note, too, the brick floor that dates from the early 1900s.
The shop counter comes from a country store built in the 1840s.
